A tree knot.
In the lower part of the creek bed, grass grows.
The bones of some ancient cow lay strewn near the trail.
Eventually we happened upon a field filled with igneous rocks. It appears that they grow them here.
After lunch, we pressed foward just a bit further to find the lookout. This is the
view we saw.
