Summary
Little Granite Mountain: December 2003
The pictures of this hike are shown from two days, the
22nd and the 26th. I had been ill recently, so I didn't
make it very far on the 22nd. I made it much further on
the 26th.
On the 26th, it was cold, but I needed exercise. I felt surprisingly
better after my illness, but I didn't want to run. I went back to MKR-37 to give it a go.
I made it all the way to the sign
that we went to as a PHC hike previously. I didn't
make it to Big Granite Mountain.
It was really quite amazing to go into down the hill into
a valley area that was mostly sheltered from the cold,
harsh wind. The sun came out from time to time, and
there was no one to be seen.
I started getting quite tired toward the end, so when
I headed back, I went very slowly. It was a lot of
elevation to get back.
See some images of the hike.
