American Coots swimming in Lea Lake at Bottomless Lakes State Park. Lea Lake is the largest of the lakes in this state park. You can rent paddle boats, swim, and other fine stuff.
A ring of bones at Mescalero Sands park. This is run by the BLM in New Mexico. The bones were already in this formation when I arrived, which is evident because there are no footprints nearby.
