Summary
Drive To Colorado 2006
John T. had an itch that needed to be scratched. In his youth, he drove a 1966 Volvo. He
had been looking for this vehicle on the web and found the pictured one for sale in Colorado.
John T. kicked it around in his head for a long time then finally decided to scratch the
itch.
I tagged along for the ride. There were a few possible ways, if he bought the vehicle,
to bring it back. If in good enough condition, one of us would drive it back. Towing
was a possibility, but John T. wanted that as a last resort.
All of this came to pass, and the vehicle was not deemed worthy to drive back, and the
price tag was too high for what it was. The problem was that it looked good in the
picture, but the brakes were shot, the clutch was shot, and the vehicle needed far too
much work for the price requested.
We headed a different direction back. We saw some interesting things along the way.
