Resurrection fern
Another resurrection fern. This one had a little more color than the previous resurrection ferns we had seen.

Rock nettle
You never really know what to expect when you explore a canyon. I saw a patch of utmost yellow. It turned out to be Rock Nettle. I really like the way this picture turned out.

Alisha rock nettle
Alisha also appreciates the Rock Nettle.

Flowering bush
This was some sort of flowering bush with fuzzy bulbs.

Finally, we finished our rudimentary investigation of Tuff Canyon and head toward our next destination: Santa Elena Canyon.

Santa elena canyon
Santa Elena Canyon was carved by the Rio Grande and splits Mexico (on left) from the U.S. (on right).
(See Santa Elena sign)

Invasive mesquite
The green at the base of Santa Elena Canyon is invasive mesquite.
