Hiking up a creek bed in a desert is one of my favorite things. You hike, you climb, you see
amazing things. Here is Alisha spanning rocks to continue our journey.
A hole in the rock seems to be the perfect spot for some creature to relieve itself. Scat hole.
Interesting holes in the rocks look like drink coasters.
Collecting the rest of the group, we headed back to the vehicle.
The next place on our agenda was the hot springs and to see the Rio Grande. At
the parking lot I saw this license plate. Eat yofu. I think that is some sort
of yogurt flavored tofu.
This layered cliff is just past the parking lot for the hot springs.
This building was once a small store. It is now blocked off.
Inside, past the fence, is wall art.
This is the Rio Grande with Mexico's mountains in the distance. I think this
is the first time I have ever seen the Rio Grande.
Big Bend gets its name from the way the Rio Grande turns around in this area. There
are spots that you can easily swim or walk across to the Mexican side.
