back to 2006 Texas w/ Mark & Dick

Mark dick beach
South Padre Island is known for its beaches. We went for a stroll. The wind was about 30 m.p.h., and the sand and salt was hitting us hard.

Flat expanse
We tried to go to the other side of the island to get out of the wind. It wasn't much better. This flat expanse must be teaming with vehicles when the season is right.

Oil rig building
Continuing on to Brownsville, we saw what appeared to be an oil rig under construction.

Brownsville didn't really do much for us, so we decided to head back to San Antonio for the evening. We stayed at the same hotel, La Quinta at Market Square. We enjoyed the now full River Walk. Next day we headed to Austin to check out my new stomping grounds.
