Jen outside the Best Burger sign.
While we were eating lunch, I remembered that someone had once told me about Twin Bing
candy being a mainstay in the midwest. I grew up in the midwest, but I hadn't run
across it. Here in "Iowa's Best Burger Cafe," I realized this goal.
Sure doesn't look appetizing in this picture, does it?
I took a bite, chewed, and thought about it. I took another bite, chewed, and thought about it.
I took a third bite . . . .
I threw the second half out the window. No, I didn't throw the wrapper out the window.
As we continued our Iowa adventure, we decided to hit the Amana Colonies. I didn't
really know much about them, but I was figuring they were like the Amish. It
may have been Jen who suggested this to me. Anyway, it turns out the Amana Colonies
build Maytag washing machines and are German.
I can't quite say what the sign used to say, but Hill Of Slopes is good enough for me.
The next picture proves that this wasn't just a clever saying.
