The Tombstone Hotel room was quaint. Because we paid cash, we got a few bucks off. The
kid who worked there told me he went to school at Boys Town. I mentioned that I didn't
work at the campus.
One problem of this room: the bathroom slide door was excessively noisy.
Next day, we drove South toward Bisbee. I stopped along the way to take a picture
of the mountains.
We entered the town early; nothing was really open yet. We parked Greg, our
rental car, in front of the Bisbee Mining Museum. We never did go inside.
When in a new town, walk around. That's the best way to get your bearings.
Bisbee is an interesting little town. It appears to be an artists' haven.
Julie pauses by an interesting ghoul painted on a wall.
Ghoul close-up.
Hippie paraphernalia.
Bisbee was a mining town. A great chunk of this hillside is missing.
Julie considers a century plant (agave).
On our walk, we passed by a shop called Metalmorph. In the window I saw this
interesting piece: Primitive Earth Specimen.
Copper Colored mining statue.
