Julie shows the Cholla bite she received. The Teddy Bear Cholla are really nasty,
vicious plants. Just a casual brush against one, and it will embed itself into
your flesh. They don't hurt going in, but they are very unpleasant to take out.
Julie later had a large black and blue mark in this area of her calf.
One final shot to show where we had been. This was my favorite hike of the
trip; Julie's least favorite.
By this time we were both pretty hungry, but since we were already out
here, we continued on the same road rather than head back to Tucson.
The road wrapped around anyway, but we saw the International Wildlife Museum.
We stopped.
It was already about 2:00pm, and we were hungry, so our first stop was to
eat this Wooly Mammoth. Well, no, actually we stopped at the cafeteria.
Then we started walking through the exhibits. We saw a few things, like
this Wooly Mammoth.
Also saw a Gila Monster.

Julie looks at an exhibit of bears.
I don't remember what these were. Probably hares or some such thing. They
look delicious.
