Saturday, January 1, 2005 - Flew out of Omaha on Southwest. - First stop Las Vegas. - Made it to Phoenix. Sunday, January 2, 2005 - first stop: Casa Grande. - aqueducts. - Picacho Peak State Park - Made it to Tucson. - Swap Meet. - Quality Inn Monday, January 3, 2005 - Mountain Park - Julie got a Cholla bite on her calf. - International Wildlife Museum - Super 8 at 715 W. Starr Pass Blvd. Tuesday, January 4, 2005 - Kartchner Caverns. - San Pedro Riparian National Conservancy Area. - Tombstone. - Room 1 of Tombstone hotel Wednesday, January 5, 2005 - Toured Bisbee. - In Benson, we stopped for Mexican food. - Tucson. - Quality Inn again. - Julie wasn't feeling too well; had a slightly sore throat today. Thursday, January 6, 2005 - clock was an hour off, so Julie got me up early. - Breakfast at Quality Inn - Walked around downtown Tucson; stopped at Visitor Center. - Starbucks coffee - Lunch at cafe. - Hiking at Saguaro National Park - Dinner at Peter Piper Pizza. - Econo Lodge, third floor #305, dump. Friday, January 7, 2005 - Sabino Canyon - hiked Esperero Trail. - Lunch was Greek at Sunrise Cafe. - Super 8 Motel Phoenix Airport Downtown - Missed 14 inches of snow in Omaha. - Went to Arizona Center to walk around a bit. - Dined at Pizzeria Uno Saturday, January 8, 2005 - Airport. - The flight back was a godsend. On time and direct flight. - Julie cut my hair when we got back.
