A big juniper berry in the hand is worth a million on the tree.
All right . . . what is a Greek guy doing in the desert?
The Mad Greek restaurant is probably as well known as Bun Boy. Tim and I decided to have lunch
in Baker while we were there. The Mad Greek is a little more pricey than fast food, but it
was pretty tasty. The fact that they forgot to make Tim's order meant we stayed about 1.5
hours. Definitely not
fast food.
Tim and I returned to the lake with the 20 m.p.h. sign. Our intent was to walk across the lake
since it was purported to be only 40 inches deep at the deepest point. About 1/3 of the way across,
I started taking pictures. This picture is of the rental car next to the 20 m.p.h. sign.
Tim fording the lake.
Tim in the lake next to an "area closed" sign. I decided to turn back as the mud was pretty slippery
and my shoes weren't holding up well.
Heading back toward camp, I stopped to take a picture of desert wildflowers along the road side.
Yellow wildflowers.
Barrel cactus flower.
