There is a tire; there is a hill; there is Tone.
The tire and the hill's fate are soon entwined.
The tire is not light, but Tone is unrelenting.
Afterward, the hands are dirty.
Joe and Bill wanted to go see the petroglyphs, but we had just done that, so the rest of us
headed to the
Desert Studies Center (DSC) at Soda Springs.
The Desert Studies Center is a field station of the California State University (CSU) located among a
haven of natural ponds, dry lakes, and foothills in the Mojave Desert.
