back to 2004 March Vegas
I headed to Vegas a day earlier than most. JD and I made plans to check
out Red Rock preservation area. I drove. Along the way, I went across
the Hoover Dam.
Hoover Dam.
On the other side of the dam is Lake Mead. I had a limited
amount of time because I was to pick up JD at the airport
in Vegas, but I took 15 minutes to drive into the Lake Mead
Recreation Area and look around.
I picked up JD at the Vegas airport. He was already deplaned and
searching for his luggage.
We stayed at the glamorous (and affordable) Golden Palm Casino Hotel. JD
shows his geekness by holding his palm phone next to the hotel sign.
I played the one-armed bandits, and, when I was ahead, I cashed out. Ha ha!
Vegas is the land of extremes. Meat, meat, I say!
JD and I checked out the Coke museum.
JD stands behind some ancient Coke bottles.
