Julie and I trekked up a path to get a better view of the lake. The next picture
shows this spectacular view, but before we get to that picture, we need to consider
the snow.
As we had about 9 to 10 hours of driving left to do, I suggested that we just
hike to the snow line, then head back. When we got to the snow line, I asked
Julie to make a snowball. Then we had a snow fight. She got some down my
neck, but I got even.
What you don't see in this picture is the look on Julie's face.
This is a spectacular view of Lake Marie. How I would love to
hike this area more fully.
Wild currants.
Snowy Range Map. I must explore this area.

The Snowy Range.
In the next 10 hours, we B-lined it back to Omaha. I only took one more picture
at Julie's request . . . .
Julie and the dinosaur.
This wraps up the picture portion of this trip. We made it back to Omaha late Tuesday
night. I was home by about midnight and was able to get up for work the next day.
This trip was a fun diversion. I hadn't realized just how much I missed
mountains, hiking, and the beauty that nature has to offer. I got some
mileage out of my National Parks Pass and was able to spend time with
two great people.
