Someone suggested I take a picture of this crow, so I did. I don't
like crows.
Although there was a large Labor Day crowd, the road system to
the parking lot for Old Faithful was fairly well thought out.
The parking lot was enormous, so I took a GPS point of the
car, and we three headed toward Old Faithful. You can see that
it was a popular attraction.
A bison lays on the ground, a second is standing in the trees behind.
Old Faithful was purported to go off at 2:00pm, and did so at 2:10pm. The dark thing on
the right is the lodging. It appears that you can sit inside to watch Old Faithful
go off on less clement days. It was strange to see people sitting inside when the
day was so beautiful.
The picture shows geyser run off from the left.
A muddy geyser.
Each of the geysers had a name, but I didn't record these
with each picture. I labeled the ones that I remembered.
Beehive geyser.
A colorful geyser. You can see the wind ripple on the top. Had it been
less windy, it would have been possible to look deep within the bowels
of the earth.
