Once we reached this part of the 8-mile trail between Hole-in-the-wall and Mid Hills, most of the guys headed back. Tim, Gary, and I pressed forward. These white cliffs appealed to my sense of aesthetic, so we decided to investigate (and climb) them.

After some interesting bouldering, we found a deluxe cave in which we rested. It even had a hat holder.
