Detail

2004 Mar 29 Monday
• Picked up Terri from Shuttle-U Prescott around 7:30pm.
• Did a quick load of laundry (stupid laundry facility only open 8am to
8pm)
• Went to Safeway to pick up more food because Terri didn't think I had
enough for the trip. Turns out I really didn't. I should have paid
more attention to dinners.
• Chatted until about 11:00pm

• That night it rained making my tent sloppy.
• Karinn cursed loudly as she was drive off her rock and into a tent

2004 Apr 02 Friday
• Hiked out of Cottonwood toward Phantom Ranch in the rain.
• Stayed at Phantom Ranch for a few hours. Colleen, Dan, and Paul
decided to get a room rather than hike more in the rain.

• Tunnel 1
• John was there; claimed he had been waiting three hours
• Thunder Snow on the 64: There was a huge snowplow following me for
miles. I was tempted to have him pass me because he was really moving.
Eventually I reached a stretch of highway where there was actually
snow! There was a good four inches, perhaps six, of slushy, slippery
snow. At that point I wished he had passed me. It only lasted about
ten miles; then I was back in sunshine.
• Returned home about 4:00pm.
