back to Grand Canyon Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim
We camped out at Cottonwood. Karinn is a wild one. She doesn't like to carry a tent, so
she sleeps on picnic tables, or even a huge rock.

John, Terri, and I decided to go ahead with the initial plan to hike to the North Rim and back.
It took us quite awhile, John always in the lead. The first thing we passed was this guys house.
It's like a real house, except remote. Karinn tells me that it is the dwelling of Bruce
Aiken—Arizona artist and manner of the pumphouse for something like 20 years now.

Then we happened upon Roaring Springs. Water courses down the hillside and seems
to emanate from a hole in the rock. There are pipes or wires that run alongside it.
There is a path that goes to it, but we didn't get a chance to go there.
