back to Grand Canyon Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim
It appears that there is always some dripping water in the alcove. There were also
rock formations that were similar to stalagmites.
The stalagmites are visible here as well.
This formation looks like a green mossy molar tooth.
Plants even grow out of the ceiling.
Not sure what the white stuff is. I think Terri found out it was some form of calcium carbonate.
As I recall, she said she tasted it and it burned, but then she told me I misheard her or something.
Anyway, that is my story and I'm sticking to it.
Alcove.
There's even a column formation in the alcove.
A budding yucca.
A green agave stalk. The agave lives about 25 years, sends a stalk up toward the heavens, then dies.
Some might consider that wicked unfair.
