Grand Canyon Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim 2004

A group permit was obtained for eight people to backpack in the Grand Canyon. As is usually the case with endeavors such as these, spots on the permit open up. When the opportunity presented itself, I grabbed hold of it.

The initial plan was to tour the Grand Canyon Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim in five days starting at the South Rim. Some of us made it, others did not, but I think it is safe to say that all of us enjoyed the trip.

The weather was excellent the first few days but turned sour around day four. Still, it was a memory-filled experience worthy of telling.
