Santa Cruz Island 2003

We stopped to investigate a white, chalky area. Maddy found that sitting in the area produced "chalky-butt."

Using my camera's timer, I took this Cavern Point group shot. The mainland is behind us.

Cliffs. Santa Cruz Island had a lot of shear drops, and some of the cliffs are overhangs. We stayed away from the edges.

You can never have too many pictures of a geological marker.
