back to Santa Cruz Island 2003
This is the way they load kayaks onto the boat. Our departure boat was the
same as our arrival boat: The Islander.
The kayaks are loaded, the weather is bleak, and it is time to leave.
Jack preferred sitting toward the back of the boat to avoid motion sickness.
The ride back was so much calmer than our originating ride, Jack walked
around the boat.
We stopped to view the "Common Dolphin" which hovered around the
boat in droves. I finally got a picture of a few in the distance.
The final shot for the trip was this oil rig. We made it back to Ventura
Harbor, loaded the mini-van, and stopped at IN-N-OUT Burger for dinner.
We were grubby, but that didn't bother us.
