Mojave National Preserve 2003

JJ and James found me around 7:30am. They start a breakfast that would make a short-order chef envious.

The Kelso Dunes loom in distance. The weather looks a bit grim, but our optimism was high.

The roadside campsite at Kelso Dunes is HUGE! There was room for an enormous amount of cars, people, or what have you.

The JJ-mobile is loaded with gear.

Dave joins us.

We watched this bug head towards JJ's tire, then sit there and contemplate what to do next.
