You find all sorts of stuff in the snow. I liked this insect wing.

The sun hit a hill to our right. The mountain was still blocking the sun from us.

Redbanks is the name of the rocks at the top of the steep part of Avalanch Gulch.

We reached Helen Lake. This is a popular campsite for resting and aclimating. We met some people at Helen Lake who planned to summit that evening.
