back to Tuolumne Meadows 2003

There is a paved path through Tuolumne Grove that is mostly covered. The sign said the Grove was one mile away, but what it failed to say was the grade of elevation. Tim and I began our descent through large trees.

Finally we reached the Grove—this sign is proof. Entering the grove didn't mean that we were awestruck by the Sequoias. In fact, I think we had seen perhaps one or two at this point.

Bugs were here. There must have been something delicious inside.

This is the first large Sequoia we saw. We stopped to check it out.
