back to Tuolumne Meadows 2003

Tim and I arrived at the Tuolumne Wilderness Permit parking lot on Saturday morning. After getting our permit, we assembled our packs and prepared to depart.

Tim does a last bit of finagling inside the car. At first we didn't know where the trail started, so after consulting the map a bit, and a couple from the "Guilt" car, we found the trailhead.

This is the first view of the river. We were to travel alongside this same river for several miles.

This is the first bridge we came upon. At this point I didn't really know what to expect of the trail, so I took pictures of such things as bridges. Later, as the beauty of the trail revealed itself, I was able to take more discriminating pictures.
