Tim traverses over the seemingly endless sand dune. Well, no... that's not true.
There really wasn't much in the way of sand dunes here.
This dry, brittle cage plant was most interesting. I found this smaller one that was mostly intact.
I was stunned to see such enormous quartz rocks that I believe now to be
white granite. Tim sit upon them modeling his hat.
The summit marker of Pinto Mountain can be seen from below.
From the top you can see the major wash that we were to follow back once we descended
the loose rock on the ridges.
