Pinto mountain from lot
Pinto Mountain from the parking lot for the backcountry board.

Sand dune
Tim traverses over the seemingly endless sand dune. Well, no... that's not true. There really wasn't much in the way of sand dunes here.

Cage plant
This dry, brittle cage plant was most interesting. I found this smaller one that was mostly intact.

Tim sitting on huge white rocks
I was stunned to see such enormous quartz rocks that I believe now to be white granite. Tim sit upon them modeling his hat.

Pinto rockpile
The summit marker of Pinto Mountain can be seen from below.

Pinto view wash
From the top you can see the major wash that we were to follow back once we descended the loose rock on the ridges.
