Boy Scout Trail 2003

JJ testing out a backpack loaned by Rick. JJ carried over two full gallons of water in that pack.

The weather was fine as the individuals assessed gear and prepared for the hike. Rick was a fountain of good information on gear.

This is a picture right before the group picture. Cameras were flipped out as casually as business cards at a hardware vendor expo.

San Gorgonio is capped with snow—a white sentinel silently looming in the distance.

The trail is grains of granite cutting through the Mojave desert. Joshua Trees, Yuccas, Junipers, and an occassional Cholla buckshot the land.
