Summary
Yosemite National Park: December 2002
A hiking friend named Lars (from Sweden) told he that he was interested
in seeing Yosemite before heading back to his country. Timing being
critical, and the fact that I had never been to Yosemite, we set out.
The weather forecast called for rain and storms, but we had hoped that
we would either miss this, or that it would be snow—a welcome
Christmas treat. The weather turned out to be very poor.
Bad weather excepted, we were able to get in a day of hiking and
saw some tremendous views. Just as catching a single fish makes
a fishing trip, a single climb with views of this magnitude made
the trip worthwhile. Our planned trip duration was curtailed, but
it was a good time.
