The Mitchell Caverns office.
This cactus growth was behind my car. Don't fall!
The Mitchell caverns campsite is less expensive than the Midhills campsite because
it is a state campsite. It is also on a cliff and open to the wind. Tim and
I didn't stay here.
This is a cave entrance to the Mitchell Caverns. This isn't the entrance that
we entered.
Limestone creates the cave structures. I believe the significance of this formation
is that it is at an angle, suggesting that it has fallen long ago.
You can see some of these spires have broken off. The hand of the ranger was in the picture—don't touch!
