Mitchell caverns office
The Mitchell Caverns office.

Dont fall
This cactus growth was behind my car. Don't fall!

Mitchell caverns campsite
The Mitchell caverns campsite is less expensive than the Midhills campsite because it is a state campsite. It is also on a cliff and open to the wind. Tim and I didn't stay here.

Cave entrance
This is a cave entrance to the Mitchell Caverns. This isn't the entrance that we entered.

Cave structure
Limestone creates the cave structures. I believe the significance of this formation is that it is at an angle, suggesting that it has fallen long ago.

Hanging cave structure
You can see some of these spires have broken off. The hand of the ranger was in the picture—don't touch!
