Water and erosion usually is the culprit behind holes in granite.
This is a horking-mongo sized quartz chunk embedded in the granite.
Tone next to granite w quartz. These are some pretty large chunks of quartz.
This is another shot of the above. It is interesting how the granite has eroded
into these vertical lines.
Morning on the eigth, we stopped at some granite rocks along the roadside. Tim considers the climb.
