The Woman of Love -- Notes 01/07/01 ----------------------------------- I started this song in July of 2000, but didn't have lyrics. I wrote parts of the lyrics while sitting on Goleta beach, sipping a lil' Oban single malt scotch whisky. Oban, by the way, is a town on the western side of Scotland. I stayed there with some friends and even toured the distillery. They have this special edition single malt that can't be bought in the states. Me, like a fool, traded a bottle of it to Wedge who gave it to his Dad. Damn damn damn! The song might be said to generalize the concept of straying within marriages. It isn't about a particular woman... or it is... but I'll never tell. When I recorded music in July of 2000, I had thought that I would need to re-record it, but the lyrics are full enough to cover many of the musical mistakes.
