She Was Evil

It was the last place,
I thought I’d see her.
And then I saw her.
And she was lovely.

But I knew that deep down,
That she was evil.
I could not blame her,
For it was her nature.

She glanced towards me,
Her eyes pierced my soul.
The venom in her words,
Left me so cold.

Once I tried to help her,
But she would have none of that.
Now she sees me with scorn,
From her bitter, bitter rage.

Ice coursed through my veins,
As I walked the other way.
I had to let her go,
Just had to let her go.

We’d had some good times,
We’d had some laughs.
A sharing of two souls,
Will not soon be forgotten.

Remorse visits my heart,
For what could never be.
Was there ever a moment,
When I could have just said stop?
