Ok, so the lyrics are a little scary.  They fit the 
music... sort of moody and scary.

If you really listen to them, you realize they aren't
intended to create fear, but to show hope.  The guy lets her
live!  An illustration that you don't have to get caught 
up in the action or to be ruled by petty emotions; you CAN 
say stop.
