Omaha — Standing Bear Lake (2004 May 22)
Standing Bear Lake Recreation Area is very close to my new
digs, so I headed over there Saturday morning to see what
it was like.
The weather was fine, although a bit humid. I walked and
walked and eventually made it around the lake.
The lake has a surface area of 135 acres and a maximum depth of about 24 feet.
