Dragonfly.
It was about 12:30pm and it was getting very hot. I had a few
mosquito bites and with the grasses and sweat, I was getting
itchy. I decided it was time for me to get back.
In the parking lot I stopped to take a few pictures of these
purple flowers. These are most assuredly Purple Poppy Mallows.

That ends my excursion to the Fontenelle Forest. An hour later it was pouring rain
with National Weather Service advisories for tornados. The temperature cooled some
ten to fifteen degrees and my dirty car got a nice rinse.
