McKinney Falls State Park 2006
Summary
2006 September 8, 9, and 10
I was sick as a dog over Labor Day weekend, and I needed to get an influx of
Mother Nature. So the weekend of the 9th and 10th, Alisha and I camped at
McKinney Falls State Park.
I bought a Coleman cook stove, so we dined upon some fine fare including Alfredo
sauce with sun dried tomato and Tone's crock pot chicken (sans crock pot).
On Saturday morning, we went on a nature hike led by Master Naturalist Roger Myers
along the Smith Rockshelter trail. This was a totally excellent hike augmented
by Roger's knowledge and enthusiasm. For more information on the
Capital Area Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists, click

Later that afternoon, John T. and Barb came for a hike. The day was starting
to get a little warm by then.
