Cavers
After scrambling around for some time in Whirlpool Cave, we made it to the Travis County Room for a respite. Kara told us some details about the cave, about a guy who wants to dig for new passages, and even a bit about the geology.

The gentleman in the green shirt and yellow helmet used a carbide lamp. Carbide lamps (acetylene lamps) are simple lamps that produce and burn acetylene gas by reacting calcium carbide with water.
